Someone on the Kitchen Aid forum posted a tip on pulling pork with the Kitchen Aid mixer. I thought it was brilliant!

That is a great idea! That's always the part I hate the most! LOL

  Favorites!!!

I'm kind of ashamed to admit that there are many recipes that I have yet to try. I've started ordering back issues, but my subscription started in August 2002. I thought I would share some of my favorites with you guys. I'd be interested to know which ones you like too!

From Issue 39, June 2003 The Barbeque Pulled Pork with the Root Beer BBQ Sauce. This has become our families 4th of July dinner tradition. Everyone loves it!

From Issue 40, August 2003 The Summer Stuffed Chicken Breast with Beurre Blanc Sauce! I love these tomato/feta stuffed chicks!

From Issue 54, December 2005 The Spinach-Blue Cheese Stuffed Tenderloin! I could eat this every week! Worth the effort.

From Issue 55, Feb. 2006 The Pork Chops Osso Buco, the Potstickers with Mandarin Pork Filling, and the Mediterranean Chops!

I still have lots of recipes to try, but so far, these are recipes that I continue to go back to. I'm going to fix the meatballs from issue 35 tonight. I've read that they are tasty!

I made this about 3 years ago, entered it into a United Way Bake Off Fundraiser and won first prize. It's a lengthy recipe but well worth the effort!

these cheddar biscuits look like the kind that they serve in Red Lobster, and they are great! I can't wait to try them.

  Made Cilantro Shrimp Scampi
Posted by: piano226 - 03-14-2006, 01:01 AM - Forum: Cooking - No Replies

I know we had one person that did not like cilanto scampi shrimp but we REALLY liked it. The only thing i did differently was I added 1 TBLS of adobe chilies instead of two because my boyfriend does not like very spicy food and I squeezed a juice of one lime instead of 1/4 cup. The bisquits were good too but i think some rice would be even better with the shrimp.

Roxanne...I was thinking the same thing! I love checking this board and am disappointed when there are no new posts. HOWEVER.....if C@H came out more than everyother month, there might be more action! I've started ordering the back issues! I looked at the Pork Cutlets, but haven't fixed them yet! Let's get some fire going on this forum!!!

  Pizza Cooking Stones
Posted by: Backhertz - 03-06-2006, 01:51 AM - Forum: Cooking - Replies (1)

I haven't made a pizza in years but have been thinking about trying it again. They just don't come out like I want them too! Why doesn't the cheese at the grocery store taste like the stuff I get on my pizza?

I heard that the Fibrament baking stones were great. If mine ever breaks, I'll be getting one of those. Mine has lasted for 15 years now (I feel old!). I have no idea what brand it is, but I sure do love it.

So, do we get to find out what your perfected pizza recipe is or are you going to keep us hanging?
