I still remember my login!  Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

I have been using my Instant Pot or grill primarily for cooking these days. I will have to spend some time and catch up on the threads.

Tonight we are grilling Deluxe Cheeseburgers! Can't wait.

Wink What's on the Menu 06/04 - 06/10?
Posted by: Harborwitch - 06-04-2018, 11:25 PM - Forum: Cooking - Replies (24)

Wow!  It's the first week in June already.  BBQ weather is here and the days are getting longer.

What does everyone have on their menu for this week?

The first week of the month here is crazy with everyone paying their rent and all kinds of interruptions so tonight is easy; baked potatoes, leftover BBQ (Instant Pot) ribs and leftover veggies from the weekend (stir fried green beans and fresh shitake mushrooms, and broccoli).

Between all the interruptions today I got a double batch of sous vide cherry infused bourbon done and 3 rib eye steaks pre-cooked for the grill tomorrow!

Please share what you've got going on in your kitchens. Tongue

Let's start sharing our meals . . . our love of cooking and food.

If you are a newbie please feel free to ask your questions and share your recipes.  Let's start dinner reviews again, Birthday dinners, and try to rebuild the forum that Jean loved so much!

  Dutch Oven for cooking

A dutch oven is a thick-walled cooking pot with a tight-fitting cover.  Does anyone here using dutch oven for cooking?

  Carbon steel wok

Where can I buy a carbon steel best rated woks around pj / kl? All stainless steel today is sold in commercial galleries.
I found that the diamond / ceramic / marble covered coffins were not durable despite their high price, it is still possible to scratch the paint and get out of it, although it is not as easy as non-stick Teflon cookware. There are concerns about the heavy metals that seep into the food.

Big Grin Post Olympic & Holiday - What's for Dinner 2/26 - 3/4
Posted by: Harborwitch - 02-25-2018, 08:32 PM - Forum: Cooking - Replies (9)

The Holidays are over and tonight the Olympics are closing.  I'm guessing the winter blahs have taken us all over, as has the new job and adjusting to a new lifestyle.  I hope we can all get back together again and share.  I know full well that I cannot replace Jean, but I'd like to honor her by keeping her pet project going.  Maybe by being more active we can attract lurkers and new members?

So what's on the menu for tomorrow?  Plans, life events, kids, family?
